I am a Master Certified Astrologer, skillfully trained by the late and great Kelly Lee Phipps. I began formal training and apprenticeship with Kelly Lee Phipps in September of 2002. I studied with Kelly up until his untimely death in March of 2014.
Kelly always used to say, “You don’t choose astrology – astrology chooses you.” A brilliant and masterful astrologer, author, poet, filmmaker, father, and cosmic brother, Kelly was an amazing teacher and an even better friend. I still miss him so much—more than I can say.
As a former host of the ‘Language of the Soul Astrology Talk Radio Show,' I continue to offer timely astrological reports intermittently with co-host Cindy Paulos on KAOI FM Radio in Maui, Hawai’i.
Whether in person on Maui, live over the airwaves, or via recordings sent all around the world, I have done countless readings over the past 25 years. I am passionate about astrology and believe it to be one of the most valuable tools humans have at their disposal.
Through a powerful co-creation between astrologer, client, and the unseen intuitive forces of nature, the astrological birth chart comes alive and awakens us through the placement of its various planets, signs, and aspects, inviting us to come home to the most authentic version of ourselves ~ with our unique personalities, likes and dislikes, challenges and strengths, and all of the lovely little quirks that make all of us so special.
Astrology also helps us to embrace, authenticate, and validate the progression of our evolving life path, emotional needs, desires, and responsibilities. Human beings are never static, rather we are continuously moving through the cyclic and dynamic seasons of our soul. We grow. We change.
Finally, astrology is a stunningly beautiful and accurate tool that can guide us to consciously navigate the events and ever-changing circumstances of life with a sense of empowerment and the freedom of choice.

Kelly Lee Phipps
Kelly used to tell everyone that he and I were cosmic Aquarius, Sag-rising brother and sister. He would make everyone look at our faces together, front view and side view, so they could see the “resemblance” between us.
And it’s true, we had this sort of brother-sister energy. I’ll never forget the first time Kelly and I met. We each drove hundreds of miles to meet each other in Key West, Florida in October of 2002. He took me to purchase my first astrology books. Afterward, we sat in a one of Kally's favorite coffee shops. Kelly sat across the room working on astrology charts, while I was reading about my North Node in Jan Spiller's Astrology for the Soul... the first astrology book I ever read.
Every now and then, he would glance over at me, with a loving and knowing smile — his eyes dancing with delight as I was being infused with the cosmic download of the language of the stars.
Later that day, while sitting at the beach, Kelly showed me how to draw up a chart by hand. We spent three days together, immersed in astrology — immersed in our new friendship.
A few months later, I moved to Asheville, North Carolina to apprentice with Kelly. Our friendship deepened. My knowledge of astrology grew exponentially though Kelly’s brilliant teaching.
That friendship lasted twelve years, until Kelly’s untimely passing, and it continues to blossom in spirit.
Maybe Kelly's spirit is traveling the cosmos. Wherever he is, I still frequently hear his voice and feel his presence.
He touched the lives of so many—so deeply, so willingly. He loved humanity. He loved astrology with all the passion that one could possess. He loved his son. He loved his freedom. Being authentic meant everything to him.
So, anyway. I just miss him.
Thank you, Kelly, for being one of the most inspiring, genuine, passionate, alive, authentic, brilliant, loving, zany, intelligent, quirky, creative soul I've ever met.
Thank you for accepting and loving everyone, and for being someone that positively impacted the lives of so many. You will never be forgotten.
